Yea this has been a debacle for BLAIR. They should have never been released by a "pardon" - Labour should have put their damn foot down - and gotten down to business.

Naturally that they are alive & well is most important. But you don't go kissing Irans arse because of it. Makes me wonder what kind of idiots the officers being trained at Dartmouth are these days.

I'm half-expecting the female chav that was captured to come out with a tale about how she was gangraped by her Iranian captors, and had her 12 week old child/foetus (a pregnancy which she had found out about just minutes before she left on the mission) ripped from her womb by the hand of Ahmadinejad himself.

Blair will have to come up with something to save face. He'll probably get the CIA to fly her off to Morocco, so that she can be tortured until she co-operates.

would it be fair to say that the remaining half of your expectations predict no such thing to take place?

Sir, you would be correct! It's a toss-of-a-coin situation.

[quote="Mr.Buttocks":a9ba5]They were just being polite. It's the British way![/quote:a9ba5]

There's a difference between being polite & fraternizing with the captors. The idiots were praising the Iranian treatment on TV when they could just have said something a little more diplomatic like. "Iran has treated us in accordance with the Geneva convention." But from what little I've seen the morons are busy kissing their asses. The fact is the govt of Iran was only nice to them to fool them into thinking that & now every muppet & his dog will watch the news & believe that the President of Iran is a nice guy. cuss:

They should have kept their mouths shut to the press & certainly not have been so 'buddy buddy friendly' when being released. I wonder how the USMC would react under such circumstances? They've made us look ridiculous in the eyes of the world, incredibly bad form! Hopefully they will have a valid excuse like they were threatened or tortured etc otherwise I will lose a lot of respect for the armed forces. annoy:

Aaah as I suspected, they were under psychological pressure & not in the comfortable style shown on TV. My belief in the service is assured, Bravo Zulu for that team & I stand corrected over my earlier hasty comments. Hang the Iranian President & title the officers!
