HL2 mod is about 500mb and free of course. If you're looking for a bit of a laugh and something to bring back memories of Team Fortress Classic, this will be the best alternative to TF2

No shortage of assholes playing this mod, was in a few servers earlier and it was people just bitching other people out for no real reason. eek:

Think i'll wait till monday, with some luck TF2 won't play identically to the original so everyones on a level playing field.

Edit:

Got a good game on a server for a bit, seems to be pretty mad, no shortage of shit blowing up. Suprised it doesn't look better than it does, for a mod it doesn't seem to do much for character and weapon models, environments look better though.

Fucking quality mod!

Been playing it on a packed server for the past 2 hours, so much fun. Maps are great, balanced and the updated engine make it a perfect update for TFC

Do you somtimes drop out of servers for no reason? Been a few times now ive just dropped out, checked the console and got some kind of weird error.

No I've been fine so far. Seems a very very solid first build with only a few minor kinks to iron out.

I'd check the FF forums as its no doubt being discussed there if its common.

I'm off to play some more...

- and off the topic but Bioshock is one of the best games I've ever played, nearly completed it, amazing stuff and damn creepy too eek:

Apparently theres a bunch of people having it crash and sound looping, my flat mate is having this problem.

Try turning your sound quality to Medium. if that doesn't work then keep an eye on their tech forum here:
