I was kidnapped by a group of Playboy Bunnies, who held me as a sex slave for a few weeks, but I am back now, albeit in a limited capacity (exhaustion, you see).

The problem you're having is because one of the ActiveX components used by Autokick was not installed correctly. Did you use the normal install program (ie setup.exe) or did you install it manually?

Default Set up - 08-27-2002, 05:16 PM

I do believe that I did the set up exe way but not sure what you mean by manual way. I inzipped the files then click on set-up. But it was working then it just stopped and gave me that error message. So I did have it working at one time.

The activex files are like DLLs for Visual Basic. I think what may have happened is some other program was installed on your machine which overwrote one of the activex components with an older version, which may be what is causing your error.

Try this:

1. Make a backup of your Autokick directory.
2. Uninstall Autokick.
3. Re-install Autokick.
4. Copy your backup directory back into your Autokick directory.

The install program will re-install the activex components on your machine if it sees one that is old. Let me know if it doesn't work for ya.
