Default Sound Making Mod Help Tips - 09-04-2002, 09:25 AM

Some write in and ask me how to pack a sound mod and misc things related to sound for Medal Of Honor . This is one of the emails where someone has one made just was not sure how to pack it up so I wanted to just share the tips layout I sent him so it may help some of ya out there as well .

Hey #$%@,

First off let me apologize for writng back to you so slowly . I had sinus surgery and I am slowly getting back to life from it . As for making and packing a sound mod here are a few tips that may get ya going k .

Take a sound mod of someone elses k , lets say my Fubah Total War Sound mod k . Unzip that pk3 of mine to a new folder on your desktop k . By doing this you see the correct file structure unfold itself in the new folder with all my sounds .

Then

Take out my sounds in the folders and repalce them with yours you got or want to use k then now that this is done you got two things covered .

1. Correct file structre

2. Your sounds in the correct folders and layout

Now the last step take the first folder that is in new folder which would be sounds and copy and paste it to your C drive so it would read C:sound k

then take my pk3 again that you unzipped and blank it out to it has nothing inside it and close it so now its just a empty pk3 file and then where it says user-Fubah Total War , rename it to user-#%#Sounds or whatever

then open it back up and go to C sound folder and drag that sound folder into that open blank pk3 and click on add and all the sound files will go in there for ya

then guess what your done and place that in main and your now working and enjoyng your sound mod

Hope this has helped you ,

Take Care and thanks for taking the time to write in ,

Fubah
