Default Copying Harddrives - 09-04-2002, 12:18 PM

Can I take the harddrive out of my current box (windows 98) and attach it as a slave to a new machine (most likey going with windows2000, maybe xp) and copy its contents (data files) on to the new harddrive? It would be really cool if I could, but not necessary. I can always burn the important files or at least try to get file sharing working on my router again *grumbles at the thought*.

That brings up another question... anyone know anythng about file sharing between two pcs on a router. Last time I enabled it, I had all kinds of problems with both pcs. Any ideas?

You can hook up your drive as slave on another pc and copy its contents...

As far as the client-router-client connection is concerned, you just have to
configure everything properly (yeah, I know it's easier said than done) and
things should be peachy!

What kind of router will you be using ?
