Default Linksys and dedicated server setup. - 09-05-2002, 12:26 PM

Ok I bought a router now,

Got a Linksys and have tried the settings found in serveral post here, So far I have gotten it up and running and server show up in gamespy. Problem being when I join through gamespy on second computer (on network) I get disconected after a few minutes of playing. everyone else in game is fine. I run dedicated server on one computer and play on other. Both are running through router. Any suggestions?

Btw, I can join through lan game and plays fine.

TIA,
Skeeter

Let me get this straight: you have a Local Network and on one machine serving the game and on another trying to play the game? If thats the case, when you want to connect to play you need to choose LAN, find your game and connect. You will probably have routing problems unless you connect thru LAN. You have a better connection thru your LAN anyway. Everyone else will connect thru the Internet.
