Default NCAA Lacrosse National Championship - 05-26-2003, 04:54 PM

Anyone watch today's game between top seeded Hopkins and second seeded Viriginia? It was an excellant game, with Virginia coming out on top, 9-7 I believe.

As a lacrosse goalie myself (among the other positions I play biggrin: ), I have to say Tillman Johnson is among the best I've ever seen, second to Princeton's goalie of a few years ago (shit.. can't remember his name.. he was the coach's sun..). His aerobatic style and intensity is amazing, and very fun to watch.

I was rooting for Syracuse all the way, as I personally know a longstick middie on the team (went to the same HS as me), but if anyone else had to win I wanted it to be Virginia.

I do have to say though, Hopkins did deserve a win. They won almost every ground ball and showed intensity and hustle through every quarter. If Christmas hadn't scored that 9th goal in the 4th then there might be a different national champion right now.. Hopkins seemed to do everything but beat the Virginia defense and goalie.
