Default Want to make a sig but dont know how?!? - 09-11-2003, 02:34 PM

Oke, i know this has been done really well by white rabbit but that was one way of how to make a sig, and i want to show you another way.
First of all, choose your main pictures, like background and main picture image.
I chose these, to show you all

thats my main image

and my background(note showing you how i did my sig biggrin: )
OK, now you want of cause to make your background smaller to make it the right size, so i do this. hoop round the image and press ctrl and x, before you do the ctrl and x bit it should look like this when hooped using the rectangular marquee tool....

Right, now that you have pressed ctrl and x after using the rectangular marquee tool go up to file and press new and paste it onto there by pressing ctrl and v. Now that you have done this press ctrl and t, and you can change the size, make it to about banner lenth. Now that you have done this press crop tool and get rid of that extra space on the background image.

Now to do some special stuff, scan lines etc and stroke. I wont go into that right now.
Leave the background for a while, and go onto your main picture, which is in my case a vietnam american soldier.
Now before you do the same as you did with the bacground i thyink the head in this case would look better facing the other way.
So ope the head pcitures maker it smaller like i explained how to up there and after you have done that go image then rotate canvas, then Flip horizontal to flip the image to look the other way.

When you have done that you want to add it to the background. To add it do what i said about the hooping the image. Press ctrl and x to copy and paste it onto your banner. Now some people cut round the image but some times when im tired i cant be botherd so i use lasso tool. Now to make the lasso tool work do this. Right click on the butten you will see in a minute and press lasso tool. Then if you look at the top there is something saying Feather. Next to it there is a box, put in the box 10.

Now back to the pasting to the banner. When you have pasted it onto the background it should look like this....

Now, using the lasso tool hoop some of the background round the soldiers face and press ctrl and x. This will give it a good look and get rid of it making it look like its part of the image(background) now.

When you have dpone all of it, it should give a kinda glow round it, not much of a glow jsut a bit. Now when you have done that it should look like this when you have added text and that etc

Hope ive been some help biggrin:
