Default Sony screwing over europe yet again - 02-24-2007, 10:08 AM

http://www.gameplanet.co.nz/mag.dyn/News/11561.html

Basically theyre taking the ps2 hardware out lof the ps3 and using software emulation (yeah the same thing they bashed ms for in the 360). This has the great effect of making the backwards compatability less for ps2 games though ps1 games remain unaffected.

[quote:9771e]The chips will be replaced with software emulation, with the result that backwards compatibility for European consoles will be, according to Sony, significantly less.

The one saving grace for them is some emulated games will be output at a higher res. oOo:

So europe\uk is yet again paying out the ass for a console thats had hardware removed from it and somehow still manages to be priced higher than anywhere else in the world.

Makes this song all the better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R98qC0fd_1w
