that was when i was an idiot many years ago and didn't know what music should be.
On a semi-legal note: I was thinking about doing the zune pass thingy which would give me unlimited downloads for $15/month. yeah they have a DRM license on it, but I could easily take care of that. It'd make me feel better because I'd be putting in some money for the music and it'd be a quick/neat (as in efficient with tags and such) process.
The last CD I bought was Zeitgeist by The Smashing Pumpkins in July 2007. The last music I paid for was back in March when I bought NiN's Ghosts I-IV as a download.
i have been thinking for a while of getting a lp vinyl player and making a decent collection out of that, as there is more like worth in using it, the playing it only through that and not being able to rip to pc just makes it so more worth while
only problem is avaliability of the vinyls themselves
I still usually will pre-order independent artists CDs that I like for all the cool shit they come with. The last one I bought was Atmosphere's new album a month ago which came with a DVD and a childrens book written by slug !! haha
anything else I steal, I feel bad but I'm a poor student so its not like I ever *would* have actually bought most of my music so I'm not keeping any money from them
