Firstly, I'd like to say that I appreciate how many of you are interested enough in our game to be concerned about system specs this far before release.

We are going to try to keep the system specs as low as possible, so that we can reach as many players as possible. However, at this point, we only know how well the current, un-optimized version runs on our development systems, whose specs are higher than the minimum or recommended systems are likely to be. We won't really know how the game will run on any given system until it is ready to ship, and even then performance will depend on how many features you are willing to turn off and what framerate you find acceptable.

So please stop asking whether or not your system will run MoH. We don't know, especially since we don't know what standards for minimum framerate and visual quality you have.

For a *PURELY FICTITIOUS* example, I could glibly say that you'll be able to run MoH on a pentium 200 with 16 MB video card. What that statement doesn't mention is that you'll have to turn off all sound and textures and lighting and AI and special effects and convert all characters to sprites and live with only 2 frames per second at 320x240 resolution, and that these settings will only be possible if we have time to implement characters as sprites instead of 3d models.

None of us at 2015 want to commit to anything that we cannot guarantee hitting, especially if we don't understand the target; no two people have exactly the same standards for acceptable framerate and image quality. Plus, we would really prefer not having to answer this question again and again... when we know the specs, we'll announce them .

I apologize for those of you whose questions remain unanswered for a while, and I understand that it seems like a simple question. A good rule of thumb would be to see how well you run other current games; if its not acceptable, you may need to upgrade. Other Q3-engine games would be the best metric... if you can't run them at acceptable standards, or just barely can, you probably won't be able to run MoH at acceptable standards.
