Default Cable or DSL? - 10-12-2002, 09:05 PM

I would like a definitive answer to the question which is, "What makes for the best connection for online gaming with MOH?". I currently have cable (AT&T Broadband) and it 'usually' works fairly well, but not always. Many times I discover that I'm the one causing 'lag' and I have to disconnect and try again later, or slow the game down (that's unacceptable to me). Others who have DSL rave about it's performance. I tried DSL (Bell South), and while for the month that I tried it, it didn't cause any lag. It did over all seem to be a little bit slower, responsively speaking. I believe that DSL is much slower on the 'upload' than BroadBand, but I'm not sure exactly if that has any impact with onlone gaming. I'm not knowledgeable about such things.

I realize that ppl have strong feelings of loyalty to thier connection(s) for some reason, but what I'm looking for is an unbiased, informed and educated opinion (in lay terms of course). I have to make a descision here pretty soon and need some help in that process.

Thanks in advance for the help.
