Default Numpad in Spearhead - 03-11-2003, 05:28 PM

I know there have been various topics on this subject, but I still have not found a solution to my problem. What is the problem? I can't use the numpad in Spearhead. That is, not in the same fashion as in MoHAA.

Example: In MoHAA my configuration looks like this:

Numpad = Function:

8/uparrow = move forward
7/Home = lean left
4/leftarrow = move left
5 = move backward

If I go to the control options in MoHAA, for example pressing numpad 5 results in showing "numpad 5" in the box. In Spearhead, pressing numpad 5 results in...nothing. It seems Spearhead recognizes the numpad keys' secondary function instead of its primary function.

Here's what I have tried so far:

- Binding the keys from the console
- Using MoHAA's unnamedsoldier.cfg in Spearhead
- Switching between keyboard configurations (US/US-International) in the Control Panel
- Numlock On/Off

What I have not tried (yet): Uninstalling Spearhead, remove all Spearhead stuff from the registry, change the keyboard lay-out to US (during last install the lay-out was US-International, as it was when I installed MoHAA), re-install Spearhead.

I don't think re-installing Spearhead will help. But I'll probably try it if no solution comes up.

I know more people are having this problem. Who knows what to do to make it work?

Thanks (I hope).
