Was the clipping problem fixed where you hop into a vehicle/aircraft without pressing "E" and then it starts moving, you would slide around before eventually falling off.
Yes, it has been fixed.

Will the stats be tweaked so it isn't easy to get up to high ranks?
To reach the highest ranks may take 6 months or more.

Is the overall feel while walking in building stable?
Yes, the build I played seemed very stable. There were some bugs and still needs optimising but the game didn't crash.

When vehicles run into you, will they actually run you over or just push you?
They will run you over.

Will there be any kind of "wing-walking"?
It's possible but not easy.

How is optimisation and what will the system requirements be?
System requirements have risen to a 1.7Ghz CPU, with 512MB of RAM and a graphics card that supports 1.4 shaders.

When will the demo be released?
Executive producer Scott Evans said that it would be released in the middle of June, most likely.

Is there any info regarding expansion packs?
It appears that DICE Canada will be creating the first expansion, which will be released later this year.

Will you be able to use the rank unlockable weapons on non-EA servers?
Yes, if the server admin has enabled it.

How easy are the choppers to fly?
They are pretty easy if you are familiar with Desert Combat and Battlefield Vietnam. I would say that they are more similar to BF:V

How does the new bombing interface work in planes?
I didn't get a chance to use a two-player plane, but the missile lock system for single seat fighters is very impressive. The enemy is warned when you lock on and can drop flares to fool your missiles, which is quite effective. The HUD interface for this is also very impressive; the screenshots don't do it justice.

Will there be an official WW2/Vietnam mod as in BF:V?
There has been no mention of this, and it would seem unlikely.

Will the US get the game first?
In fact, Europe may get it first. They said this may be the case because kids in Europe go on holiday earlier, and they want to release it before everyone goes away.

Will only Special Forces only have the laser designator?
This feature has been cut. The reason being that it was too difficult to coordinate an attack most of the time.

There have been little to no mention of the large ships. What kinds of innovations can we expect?
The biggest ship you are likely to see is the carrier, which can be found on a few maps controlled by the US.

Is it possible to get our servers or at least 1 of our servers "certified" for global stat tracking?
At this time, you can only do it via renting from Electronic Arts due to security reasons.

Is there colour name support in the engine?
Doesn't appear to be, same as in previous Battlefield games.

What weapons do the aircraft carriers have? I've seen the big gatlin gun but are there others and are they usable?
You have what's called a "Phalanx" which you can use. It fires heat-seeking missiles if you press the secondary fire key. Primary fires the main "Gatling gun".

Will TrackIR be supported?
It won't be supported at release, but is something that may be incorporated post release in a patch.

Can you still fly helicopters into tanks and have them explode?
Yes you can, I tried it once and my helicopter blew up shortly afterwards.

Can you swim under the water or just on top like in the last BF games?
You can still only swim on the surface.

Joystick/Force Feedback Support, will this be existent in BF2?
Yes.

To what extent will there be destructible terrain/objects?
Key points such as bridges can be destroyed. Also smaller objects such as road signs, barriers etc can be destroyed.

Can a building wall be obliterated to allow killing anyone inside, and how vulnerable will a soldier be, if he is inside a building?
Most walls and buildings cannot be destroyed, but this doesn't mean a mod couldn't implement it. However, the commander's radar station near the main base can be blown up and render some of his functions unusable.

Will there be rappelling ropes?
This was cut from the game a long time ago, apparently it didn't work out as well as planned.

Will parachutes be limited to a specific kit or possibly only available while in certain vehicles such as planes and choppers?
No, all kits have parachutes.

Would it be possible for a mod to be made that would be exactly the same as BF2 but have all the unlocks available to all players?
More than likely, yes.

Has the falling damage from small heights been fixed?
Yes, in fact its now the other way around. You can fall from a great height and lose little health. Hopefully this will be fixed though.

Are helicopter rotors solid?
Unfortunately they are not, which means you can still fly by buildings and trees and not crash or take damage.

Will EA host some big tournament/LAN?
I have not heard of any plans to, something like this would come much later on so watch this space.

In the videos the bodies seem to take a lot of punch, is it going to require a lot of bullets for a kill?
You're right; players can take a fair bit of punishment. It's not enough to take away enjoyment from the game, but can be a little frustrating at times.

Are 100 player servers not possible anymore, or was it necessary to reduce to 64 because of net code issues?
A couple of reasons were mentioned about this. The first being that with 100 players, it just wasn't much fun. The second was that with so many players, there weren't enough vehicles for everyone. I played on a 64-player server and it felt perfect like that.

Are we going to have to create an EA account to play the game?
Yes you need to create an account so that your stats can be tracked. You can create more than one account as well.

Will a remote server manager ship with the game?
I believe it will become downloadable at release.

Will there be animal's physics like a horse or a camel?
Only birds that fly from tree's when you shoot or run by them.

Will there be tunnels in BF2 such as BFV did?
Expect tunnels in the expansion.

How well has the AI been improved?
The AI seems a lot smarter but still needs tweaking. I briefly checked the single player out and the bots get in vehicles and navigate well. There were only a couple of incidents where they acted oddly, or got stuck.

What features do leaders and members of clans look forward to?
The Commander mode is something that all clans should be excited about. It provides a very interesting RTS element to the game. The stats will also show which clans have the top ranking players.

Will the Battlefield Recorder be relatively easy to use?
Yes it will. You can also set the quality in which you want to record which is handy.

Will there be any sort of weather effects?
It appears that weather effects will not be a part of Battlefield 2.

Does the wrench have a melee weapon feature?
No it doesn't, but EA's Ben Smith is campaigning hard to get it in there!

Are the chopper mechanics comparable to BFV?
Yes, I would say very similar to Battlefield: Vietnam.

How well has the net code been improved, can we expect smooth and efficient net play?
Battlefield 2's net code will be a significant improvement over its predecessors. They realised the mistakes and problems made before and are working hard to make sure it doesn't occur again.

Will teammates be visible at all times on a minimap, no disappear under flags?
Yes you can seem them easily, instead of hidden under flags.

Will the new physics engine allow for more complex features, such as trains or even roller coasters?
It seems possible, although how easy to do is another question.

Will there be any improvements to the 3D map system in BF2?
Yes the 3D map also displays other information If I recall correctly, as well as the flags and their distances.

Can you shoot through glass, such as windshields?
Yes, it appears some are bullet-proof though.

Will there be a built-in player that allows you to play your own music files?
I did not see one, but that's not to say one won' t be included.

Have any measures been taken to have more options to get rid of smacktards?
Punkbuster will be used. Players that team kill are also in for trouble, as the player killed can "punish" or forgive the action. Too many punish requests and the user will be kicked.

Will CTF mode ever be "officially" added to BF2?
EA said that if there is something that the community really wants to see added, there is always the possibility of it being added in a patch or an extra content release.

Will BF2 ever have the functionality whereby clients connecting to a server running a custom map will be able to download said map from a predetermined source while in the game (whether it be the game server or an alternate ftp server)?
I believe they are still looking at ways in which to deal with this.

What sort of server administration tools will be included with BF2 and how do they compare feature-wise with Blackbag Ops' BFSM/BFRM?
Tools comparable to Battlefield Vietnam will be released, but will be improved upon.

Was there ever a plan to include proximity based voice chat mode in addition to the existing squad mode? By this I mean that any player within a certain distance of another would be able to speak to each other as they would in real life (enemy or team-mate)?
No, reason being that not every player is mature enough to use such a feature. Limiting it to squads allows serious gamers only to take advantage of it, and avoids abuse.

Does the "cruise control" feature (entering chat mode while in motion keeps you in motion) exist in BF2 as it has in past BF releases?
Yes it does.

Will you lose accuracy from getting shot, or any other effects?
No your accuracy does not change depending on damage sustained.

Have the hit boxes been improved to allow bullets to pass through and hit more then 1 person?
It would appear not.

Can you specify different colours for your buddies, any other functions?
I tried this function using the commands from the previous games but it didn't work. However, I would imagine that it will still make it in-game as it is a popular feature.

Some of the major issues that lie in battlefield 1942 was "spamming" of grenades, has anything been in place to prevent this type of non-conductive game play?
No, I tried it and was able to spam away whilst next to the supply crate. However, there are no ammo boxes so this problem will be limited.

Will there be any vehicle transport capabilities for the helicopters, like BF:Vietnam had?
Yes, each side has transport helicopters able to carry 6 soldiers.

How much support will there be for the film community in battlefield 2?
The recorder should be more than adequate for any budding filmmakers. It is the same tool that all the trailers have been shot in.

How user-friendly will the game be for new players in the community?
As a seasoned Battlefield series player, it still took a few hours to get a grasp of all the controls. As a new player to the series, expect a fun over realism war game that is quite fast paced. Single player should provide any new players the time in which to learn the basics and move onto multiplayer action.

Will the aircraft carriers be static or moveable?
Static

Will soldiers that move into enemy territory be able to use enemy vehicles, or will they be locked?
They are not locked; you can steal what you like.

Will there be a system in place for preventing base camping?
For base camping in planes and attack helicopters, most bases are equipped with anti-air emplacements. For camping on foot, the Commander can find campers using his tools, and use artillery to destroy the player.

Can you bank the water levels to make a downstream for mapping?
No, but you can make it "seem" like a stream. It won't look perfect but it will do.

When does the rag doll take over?
It would seem that only when you die do the rag doll effects kick in.

Will there be 64-bit version of BF2?
Server version yes, game version unlikely.

Will you still take fall damage from falling into water from large heights?
Yes, some.

What will be the locations of officially ranked servers?
Still unclear, but expect vast coverage globally.

Will it be possible to actually put grenades into the hatches of tanks?
No.

Are all buildings accessible?
Not all buildings are accessible, and you cannot open doors.

When will the map editor be released?
It's planned to be released on the same day as the game itself.

Can you unlock the map size if you want to play with fewer players on a bigger map?
Each map comes in 16, 32, and 64 player sizes. The maps no longer change size due to the amount of players; you select what variant of the map size you want to run.

Will the game support non 4:3 resolutions?
Wide screen is not supported.

Will BFTV be included at all, or possibly in a future patch?
Possible future patch is most likely if there is enough demand for it.

-------

Will there be complete AA/AF support in the game?
Yes, absolutely, depending on your graphics card you can go in and test how the different settings will look in-game.

Is the vehicle "clipping" problem fixed like in previous battlefield games?
Yes.

Does the engine support colour names?
No it doesn't, because we hard coded that for the purposes of teamplay.
For example the enemy will appear in red, friendlies in blue, and squad leaders
in yellow.

Can you comment on anything Trauma Studios has done?
We are big fans of trauma, we started working with them on desert combat, gave them some extra support which established a relationship between to us. We then contracted with them to make prototypes for Battlefield 2 like the commander mode feature.

How long will it take for the average soldier to gain ranks?
We tweaked it much like a MMORPG. Your initial ranks are easier to
achieve and as you go on, the higher ranks take more time.

Will there be an Official WW2 Mod for Battlefield 2?
Not yet, we are hoping that the community will do that, especially with the advanced modding tools that we have.

How many copies to you expect to sell?
I can't say what we have forcasted internally, but I can say that this is the most anticipated PC title for retailers this year.

Do you plan to implement any naval combat maps in future patches/expansion packs?
Anything is possible, it is safe to say that Battlefield 2 is more ground/air
oriented and not naval since those situations don't really exist in the modern era.

Has the bug been fixed where you drop a small height and get killed?
Yes it has been fixed.
