Default My gunrack (lots of pix) - 03-26-2006, 04:33 PM

Got a gunrack from my grandpa the other day. The wood was real rough, painted sky blue and had notches in it for fishing poles. Well since the wood was rough i needed to sand it down, strip the paint, stain it, remove the notches for the fishing poles and reassemble it. A good days project!

Here it is with most of its blue paint on, sanding it off took forever

took it apart to get real deep in the corners

Most paint is off, still have those notches i need to saw off

98% finished! stained it and added some felt strip to the wood so my rifles wont stick

Finished. If you look closely you can see i removed the notches in the front.

Sorry for my poor photography skills. I'm debating on whether or not i should restain the wood again.
