Project Cloverfield -
07-09-2007, 02:00 PM
Edit: Trailer just added to Apple Trailers, so great quality happy:
http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/11808/
Shown before the Transformers trailer, no official title, no real info about it so its viral marketing is doing well so far, heh (and yes I suppose I'm contributing). Trailers are being pulled down from everywhere to keep it quite secret, etc..
Hope it turns out great, trailer seemed top notch beer:

Ok. I was told that this link contains a few spoilers of the movie and even has a shot of the monster. I refuse to watch it but here it is for those that want to see it.

wow. holy fucking shit.
everything you could ever want in an alien movie and more....holy shit.
the camcorder thing got kinda annoying, but it made it feel like you were there and it was authentic. also, the warning that it was government property was really cool.
it was a fucking roller coaster, and i loved almost every minute of it. im sure people could find some reason to hate it, but god damn it, that was entertainment.
10/10.

Went to the matinee today. Enjoyed it thoroughly. My only complaint was it was too short, but I wanted to see more. I won't say anymore than that, because the entire movie is based around not knowing shit, so unless somebody wants to know more, just know it was a good film. I experienced it, as opposed to just watching it.

I just got back and I have never seen anything like it. If this movie was done any other way it would have been terrible. The first person view, although it was annoying at times, made you feel for the characters kind of like you are one of them. Does anyone have a back story on what the monster actually was though?

KIND OF A SPOILER ALERT

well, it was an alien. it was kind of ambiguous during the movie if it was just a sea monster or an alien, but in the VERY last seen where the camera goes back to the day at Coney Island, you can see "something" fall into the ocean like a comet. i didnt catch it, but all of my friends saw it and kept on saying "did you guys see that thing in the very last scene?!" as for where it came from or why it was there....no clue.

Also apparently after the credits an audio message was played that either said "I'm still alive" or "Its Still Alive".
