BIased people... i swear, all you, for the most part is say MAC's suck and where do you get this? where is the proof? the only reason you say this is because you have used windows all of your fucking life!!! if you take the average person who hasnt used a computer before in their life, they will prefer, 100% guarantee, the MAC. ONe reason being is that macs are easier to use. MAC's are UNIX based OS, one of the most, if not the most, complex systems to use! Apple, took that system and made it the easiest in the world to use. MAC's were also the first, Quality over quanity, thus the Ghz battles, (macs won) if you take a dual 1ghz pc against a dual 1ghz MAc and run... oh say Maya, the mac will win, thus the "macs are better for video-ing and stuff debate". PC's, if you have the game argument, will get you abso-fuckin-lutely NOWHERE in life, dont waste your money on a gaming machine, they will NOT, i repeat, will NOT, get you anywhere in life. MAC's on the other hand WILL, because they can do useful things, video/music stuff. SO, if you are young and dont have a career, go for the PC, it will be better for that part of your life. But when you get a career (most modern ones) buy the mac and use it for your job. if you have any questions cruise around the Apple site and check out stuff. dude youre retarded. most modern jobs do not use the mac. take a look at programming. none use a piece of shit mac. only people that use macs are animatiors and other video/audio people. also imacs and such are for comp n00bs. theyre not as customizable and ive used one and personally after using the pc, i felt like i was going back in time and using explorer as an os.

Arguing Mac Vs. PC is a bit lop sided in that they can't be directly compared.

It's like comparing a family car with a pick-up truck, they're built for different jobs/situations.

I use a PC at work and I know the graphics department here use it as well; but that's not to say a mac can't do the same thing. It's really more preference than anything.

My girllfriend owns a Mac, and when I sit down at it I find it's basically the exact same as Windows at it's core.

They're both just Operating Systems, built for the same job.

Under the hood the make up is nearly identical except the CPU architecture - And honestly, the difference isn't as big as some make it out to be.

If you ran Windows on a Mac you wouldn't tilt back in your chair with a smug grin on your face and proclaim:

'Ahhh, It's a motorolla powering this PC!'

You wouldn't have any idea. Same goes for the opposite scenario of OS X on a PC.

As far as Linux - You're a fool if you use it as a home OS. It's not made for gaming/multimedia.

Linux was built from the ground up for geeks. Geeks with servers, and geeks who can program. If you can do neither, install Windows.

I work for Microsoft (I'm just below Janitor on the ladder of importance) and I can assure you that Bill Gates doesn't stroll around our office chuckling and calling you all fools for using the mostly widely used OS in the history of home computing.

It's here, it's on everything. Don't be afraid to put money in his pocket. He's not funding Columbia Gorillas in a raid of your hidden stack of swank magazines.

And all of you linux users, please don't jump on me over the Home Os comment. You know if you're using it as a home OS you have a dual boot with Windows. Don't play coy with me!

Linus would lose sleep at night if he knew some of you were installing Linux and running Wine (A windows emulator) 24/7 just to watch those Windows Media encoded (.asf - .wmv) Pornos.

i agree with Gerand, Macs are the shit for business things, and graphical, and video editing. but if you are a hardcore gamer the PC will always be what you want. my dad is a mac freak so i know a lot about both types of comps, id say macs are awesome and so are pc's, its just windows that sucks and bill gates makin money off of his errors he put into the program so we would pay even more money just to upgrade, but macs dont do that their OS's rule
