Wow, see I tend to view people like rapists and pedophiles as "the scum of the earth." I dont see why some people feel the need to hate people who smoke weed, we arent hurting anyone besides ourselves and I havent heard of any serious crime coming out of smoking, unless you count eating excessive amounts of food as a crime. YOU are a complete idiot. People that get "buzzes" from weed do stuff that they wouldn't normally do. I don't want to say it's comparable to being drunk, because it's not from what i hear.

I know that you can find many websites, documents, etc on the good parts of weed. I don't care how good they are if they cause a slight lethargic response/buzz that makes you act unnormally. If the use of weed causes deaths indirectly, then i hate it. END OF STORY. You won't change my mind on it....i just do not like weed. According to law (US) it is illegal and i will abide by the law-even if i do think it is unjust (most circumstances)

I respect your opinion Garry, at least you gave reasons for hating it. Being "high" is not comparable to being drunk in any way, shape, or form. I nor have any of my friends done things they normally wouldnt do while under the influence of marijuana, unlike when people get hammered. Dont believe the DARE and Anti Drug bullshit commercials, they dont show realistic situations at all. If I smoke a bowl or something I'm not going to try to rape a girl at a party or shoot my friend.

BTW thanks for the article but I am already well aware of the risks of using marijuana. I could produce a similar article showing the negative effects of using alcohol and tobacco products but in that case it doesnt really matter because those substances are legal yet do just as much damage if not more to our society. If you are going to have marijuana illegal then outlaw those drugs as well. Then again that would never happen givin the fact tobacco and alcohol corporations have huge influence in Washington and have many politicians in their pockets.

@Old- I do not rely upon or abuse any drugs, I do them occasionally and can quit at any time I please. In fact I havent smoked for at least a week and do not feel the need to go smoke. I would like to but I'm not "feening" out to do it.

well, thanks for listening....most people don't listen to my response. I thank you for that. In refrence to cigarrettes and alcohol, i am against those too. I'm not saying this just to sound like a goodie-gooide. I believe that those uses are basically self-destruction not only on the physical aspect but the social--family members and friends. I also stated that yes, there WILL be countless articles on the positive effects on the body. Tobacco and alcohol go in the same idea--there are more deaths from alcohol and tobacco-related activities or what have you.

Its ironic for me to hate drug users, as i myself have sadly experimented.
We had a pretty messed up night on LSD once, we mixed it in ith some yoghurt we were eating. it did nothing so we added more and more, then it hit us at once.
We were happy as hell, but then my friend got into a bad fight with some guy, my friend kicked him and the guy fell to the ground. then my friend started running away screaming at me to get it away from him.

I was like, what the hell you on about?

He said the guys head fell off when he kicked him and was chasing after him.

it was seriously messed up and freaky. we havent touched a thing after that.

I was 17 at the time. now when i see kids like 13, smoking weed as its "cool". i hake: my head. (and hope it doesnt fall off and chase me)
