Woohoo! Well, I was selected for the PS beta-test that Fileplanet was sponsoring. The reason why was a) I registered to test almost and year and 1/2 ago, and b) I am a fileplanet subscriber.

I gotta tell you guys, I didn't know what to expect until I booted the game up. . .and I am amazed. I must of played that game a good 8 hours yesterday, and I loved it!

I will post some screenies I took tonight, as I am at work now, just so you guys can get a taste of what it looks like. The game itself is a FPS built on an RPG; if you've ever played Command and Conqur: Renegade, it's like that. You choose 1 of 3 sides; The Terran Republic (Communist-like govern), The New Conglomerate (Diplomatic-like govern) and the Vanu Soverginity (Advanced weaponry and supplies)

The games main spot of what makes it unique is the massive-online play enviroment. I was on a server last night with 3000 people! The pings are still excellent, and the framerates are not bad either, considering I downloaded the beta to my P4 1.5 box. Also, the features for graphics, such as view distance, can also greatly help the people with less FPS-systems.

The game itself is very sophisticated. The object is you load a character you make (Multiplayer Skin/Alias) onto a planet (Server), then choose which continent (Zone) that you want to battle on. Each zone has different weather conditions, and different control points. Now, these continents all have designated bases that are controlled by one of the three teams. The object is for your team to control that base by entering it, taking out the enemy, then "hacking" the bases mainframe, and controlling it for your side. You can choose to do this alone, or join a squad and persue a mission together.

The weapons are pretty damn good, too. Since the game is based on the future, it's a very high-tech area of play (Shield-generators, guns, armor, etc. . .) Weapons range from pistols, rifles, grenade launchers, RPG's, and even Sniper Rifles & Shotguns. Depending on how much Expirence in the field you have, you an choose what weapons you can use (Much like Counterstrike)

The cool weapons are these MECH implants you can actually buy. They basically put a mech suit on you, making you look like a huge robot! I will show you the pics later.

yeah ive seen pics of this game at their website, and i was planning on getting the beta once it was released but im not subscribed to fileplanet M16:. Sounds cool by ure "very detailed description", so joe are u gonna play this game more than mohaa now?

I haven't played MOH in about a month, because I thought my new PC would be done and I uninstalled everything. I just haven't reinstalled it yet. I will be getting my mobo back Wednesday, so I can start building my box again.

i have been beta testing this game for a few weeks now. its insanely the best game i have ever played.....by far.

OK, now for the pics! I will post some more later, but here are just some I took the other night:

Before the game launches, it has a pre-load screen to check for updates and file validation, much like The Sims Online, and other online RPG games (Everquest, etc. .)

This is your starting point, the Sancutary. Those tubes on the right are spawn chambers, that's how you arrive. To the left, Weapon & Supply points. You login, and take what you need; guns, ammo, armor, supplies, etc. . .

This is the first thing I saw when I left the New Conglomerate Santuary Spawn building; a giant dropship landing in. See that hatch in the back? Seats about 25 troops, and even wheeled vehicles.

Me looking at the front. The driver has access of who can come in his ship, and who can't. This guy was only letting in his squad members.

An attack ship, the Reaper. Fast, agile, and can unleash hell with rockets & chainguns.

Close to the Scantuary Spawnpoint is the Shuttle Bay, a transport that will bring you to battle, if you have no ride with anyone else. As you can see from the clock, they arrive on time peroids. The cool part is the building has big red strobe lights & alarms to let you know that it's arriving/departing, even if you aren't in the building.

Another guy not willing to take a hitchhiker on a Wraith Quad. That thing is fast as hell.

This is the Driving Simulation. You can spawn a vehicle for driving. Every weapon/item/vehicle will give you XP points for using it for the first time, so EXPLORE!!!

The Weapons Simulation feild. One of the cooler weapons is this, the laser-guided missile. MGS Scorpion Missile fans; rejoice! It lauches a rocket, then allows you to alter it's trajectory with the mouse. As you can see here, it has a nosecam to go with it!

Remember, the game is a FPS mixed with RPG stat-systems. So the more kills you get, the faster you go up in rank. The only downside I can see is that the game will be 10 - 15 bucks a month when it goes retail to play. Otherwise, man. . .this game is going to set records, trust me.
