im trying to figure it out myself, i have a relatively fast system,
p3 1ghz, gf3, 256ram
but in firefights it can get quite choppy.

anyone notice what graphics option helps the most to turn off? especially when it comes to firefights.

ive noticed theres a lot less caching in the beginning of a level when i turn down the textures detail. but not sure if it really affects FPS. or does it, hmmm. itd be nice to know what graphic options you can turn on without getting a big performance hit.
well post here if u find out, imna keep experiementing with some options.

If ya wanna know Your frames per second for monitoring & testing drop Your console during game play by hitting the "~" key & type in fps 1 this will display your fps....

To turn it off go back in console & type fps 0 <----- thats a Zero not the letter o

i just used auto config. It did a good job detecting my system specs and setting everything where they should be.
