Default appcompat.txt - 09-05-2003, 11:13 PM

Ok, I'm dying here. I get this error when trying to open any MOHAA map. I've played MOHAA since it came out with no issues at all and now this. I believe I got this same error when running Outlook some time ago but haven't seen it in a looonnngggg time. The actual error is:

AppName: mohaa.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: mohaa.exe
ModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 00cebc58

Then the files to be included in the report are:

C:\DOCUME~1\RAGING~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER18.tmp.dir00 \appcompat.txt

Anyway, here are the system specs:

AMD XP1700
GeForce3 64MB (Latest Driver)
Audigy Gamer (Latest Driver)
XP Pro

I think that should be all ya need.

Things I've done: Ran virus check with latest definitions, ran AdAware and removed all crap, Turned off error checking, Reinstalled the Game and drivers. I guess thats it. Thats all I could find on the net. I've been fighting this thing for 3 hours. I'm dying I need my MOHAA. Someone please help.

P.S. - While hunting on the net I found that others get errors referring to this same file in other programs also.

I would assume that appcompat means Application Compatibility, so apparently something you've installed - hard or software - has created a conflict. Problem is, conflicts don't always appear immediately, so good luck figuring it out.

Did you ever get this figured out? I know that file name is what the OS generates before sending the report back to MS.

Have you tried opening that file to see what it's reporting?

Unfortunate this might need a reinstall to fix.

Good luck
