 BUTCHERED! KILLED! SLAUGHTERED! MASSACRED!

Feel better ? Why the need to evade reality ? Do people really need this
 kind of facade language ?

I'm serious! We're using more euphemistic language now than we ever didbefore. Why ? Are people so afraid of facing reality that they need to cover
themselves from harsh situations with such evasive language ? Here's your
blanket; now go suck on your thumb in the corner over there ...

because the majority of people are idiots, and with the use of evasive language, they think everything is fine. |

It sounds nice that words such as "killed" "executed" etc. People know what the words mean, using a nicer tearm is not as harsh and sin't as rude.
Anybody read 1984? Why not just get rid of all words that aren't necessary. Just have "Good" and "Oppisite Good" to describe good and bad. What use are all other words of describing something?

The ability to choose which word your using is important. Perhaps the word would have been different if Older people versus younger people were going to read it.

If i'm telling someone that someone died, i'm going to use a gentle word, not something harsh. In this case, a harsh word isn't needed. The point is made, and everyone understands it.
