Havent noticed anything like that but i can say that i dont think the directional sounds are very good. Although really creepy, alot of the time you hear sounds coming from behind and the sides of you when the enemy is behind you.

lol i got doom3 and was playing,not very far...im to were the first 4 legged half robot looking thing breaks threw the glass after u,,i wasnt expecting it to charge threw the glass so i was scared annoy:

Yeah usually ill whore the shotgun but need the smg at further ranges so have to start flicking around. That pm i sent you increase your performance any?

Optomisation thats meant to give better framerate for older gfx cards:



Open DoomConfig.cfg in Notepad.

Find the line:

seta image_cacheMegs "32"

change 32 to 96.

find the line above that saying seta image_cache "0" change that to 1,

meant to give a performance boost for slower gfx cards, if it crashes the game on startup just change the second-one back to 0 again. The second one noones too sure about if it helps much or what, better off changing the cachemegs then trying the image_cache later.
