That really doesn't suprise me, they didn't become the biggest publisher in the world by handing out overtime to all their exployees. Ive read this kind of thing before about ea, to me people working to the early hours on a morning on a game is mad. I even recall a engineer at 2015 telling me in an email that allied assault was like a movie they had made "for the big screen, with a made for tv budget".
EA just expect the world with little investment in games, 2015 worked around the clock on allied assault as well. Thats ok if you're getting mad amounts of overtime, but if you work to 4am on a game and you're meant to have gone hime at around 7pm, then id be pretty pissed if i wasn't getting overtime.

it sucks that people paid on a salary basis are often taken advantage of this way, I'm sure they mage good money but at 85 hours a week, they are probably only getting paind a small hourly wage... Isn't there a government agency in the US to investigate or prevent these issues in the work place?... Maybe the EA workers need to think about organizing...

And do what.... Perhaps a class action law suit? Oh wait... rolleyes:
He meant as a union tough guy. And youd be suprised at how effective a union can get its message across. Ours sucks - but hey, we elected idiots to the post.
The only way that this can happen is if these jobs are desirable to a lot of folks out there. The company must know that if they burn people out that others will be more than willing to take their place.
This is a simplistic view and probably not practicle for all people, but if you don't like it leave. That's not to say that I condone this practice. And if any of you feel disgusted by these labor practices, don't buy EA Games. annoy:
