Well the x850xt-pe is the fastest single card you can currently buy, you got the gt for next to nothing why not add $30 to it and get something even faster?

The core clock on the ATI eats the 6800's. I'd say go for it but why not just spend 20 bucks on a fan and clock the piss out of the 6800 to the same frequencys?

Well, for a start if you clock the piss out of a 6800gt it still won't be as fast as an x850xt at stock settings (on air cooling at least). The x800's don't really overclock that well but its plenty fast as it is.

You'll only see at most a 10% improvement for the most part, with peaks of 20% here and there, if you go with X850.


But for $30 it would be stupid not to.
