Should the Americans stay in Iraq or pull out before the end of 2006? Why/Why Not? |

"There is a big group coming from Iraq," said the Nimroz Governor, Ghulam Dusthaqir Azad.
"They're linked to al-Qaeda and fought against US forces in Iraq. They have been ordered to come here.
 Many are suicide bombers."

[quote="Short Hand":2726e] I hate to be an asshole but.... How is that related to my "sarcastic" comment.....[/quote:2726e]your "sarcastic" comment may well turn out to be true, according to everyone it's America that is mainly to blame for hassling the freedom loving iranians...but now that they have been referred to the un security council (ooohh!1 eek: ) maybe everyone else can peep over Americas shoulder and get involved to some little further extent,

in relation to this thread/Iraq/Afghanistan, pls re-read my previous post, thx.

Well I may as well speak my words. Many of my fellow liberals would be suprised to hear me say that America needs to stay in Iraq. Only because the future of the country unfortunately lays in their hands. Iraq has 3 different religions in 1 country..(Kurds, Sunni, Shia) and they were put this when the borders were drawn back in the early 1900's. Now in the guardian in december their were statistics showing that shittes were targeting sunni people, at a large rate. So if America were to leave a civil war would likely occur. And many intellects feel this way. And we all now what happens when a colonial power (not saying america is a colonial power) leaves a country to the other tribe or religions...take Rwanada for example (it's always payback against the other tribe/religion). I feel America has an obligation to stay in Iraq and make sure the job gets down right. |

i think we should stay as long as it takes to stabalize the region, and reduce the risk of further problems.
: i wonder how long the allies stayed in germany until they were stable enough to operate on their own.
