My sister has had a Golf GTI for like 6 years and she hasn't had a single problem with it at all....
A family friend staying with us has had a Polo for just a bit longer and says the same thing, I've driven my sisters a number of times and it is a sweet ride, handles like a rally car, very quick as well...Maybe the american VWs are just pure shit.... eek:

[quote="Short Hand":443d9]VW has just been having a tad of a qaulity control problem since 2001. There sales have doubled in the past 6 years alone. ONE company here to stay people [/quote:443d9]
The VW dealership by me is going doooooown hill lol. Cant sell VW's for shit.
Also misc nothing wrong with 4 door sportscars, such as this VW (THIS VW not the other ones) WRX STi's, EVO8's etc.

My family only owns subarus and they've lasted us MANY miles.
I've had a '91 Subaru Legacy and I have never needed to take it in to get any kind of repairs or special maintenance. It still drives like a champ rock:

Thats common in a lot of cars though. The cable wears out. My friends cable snapped in his Chevy Cavalier, granted it was a 91' it happens.
