Default Help with Maps and mods - 09-06-2002, 10:26 AM

Hey guys, I have been playing MOHAA almost since it came out, played through the single player a few times and love palying the multiplayer games. So I m not really a newbie (although some nights I play like one) But my question is about mods and maps and stuff. How do you load the maps that are downloadable, then how do you play them? How can I add maps so that I can play them and then how do I know where they can be played? And if I add a map to an objective based game and then get on a server will that cause any probelms? Or should I just say the heck with it and stick to the normal maps?

Also, will custom maps affect game play speed? I currently run with DSL. Sorry if I have posted inthe wrong spot

The custom maps on aa.com are all checked first (most of the time) before they are put on the server for the public. They should not slow your system down any more then a stock map, and they will not affect your single player game either. Just make sure you know that the map has been tested before you download them, so you know if there are any bugs. If you go to the servers website, you will get a list of what maps are currently in the rotation. You can then donwload the ones you need. If you use All Seeing Eye or Gamespy, it lists what map is currently being used in the game.

For the aa.com's server, go to http://mohaa.xgshosting.com

When you down;oad the PK3 file, it goes in your MOHAA/Main folder, and that's it.
