For all those who like hockey, what do you think about the flames-avs trade today
Flames Get: Chris Drury, Stephane Yelle
Avs Get: Derick Morris, Dean Mcammond, Jeff Shantz
as a flames fan im pissed cuz we gave away morris god dammit...but at least we have drury now.

boy that sure screws up our league...fell sorry for the fellas that drafted Drury...never saw that coming. man that sucks for him. good for Flames. I thinkit was a good trade for the Avs in the end. Morris is the bonus...hmmmm Iginla and Drury on the same line....drools....

Drury had a rough season last year, so to be honest I think this is a bit of a toss up for the Flames. If Drury is on this a great trade, if he's not, kiss our playoff chances good bye. But with the Calgary budget you gotta give props to a GM that is willing to take a few risks.

ah, colorado is amazing
so lets see, raymond borque, rob blake and darius kasperitus off trades int he past years....they totally know how to get awesome defense
they don't need Drury really, he is a great player, did very well in the playoffs last year, that one goal when he deaked out 3 defenders and then scored was great...but with forsberg, hejduk, tanguay...sakic....and so on, defense in more important for colorado right now and Morris is a great addision.

This is an awesome trade. Probably one of the best things the Flames could have done. They needed to mix it up and get some energy in there. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out...

If you ask me Morris is a overrated player. I mean he wasn't half bad, but he's not nearly as good as he thinks he is. Somebody needs to teach that guy a thing or two about ego control. I'm more worried about the Flame's net then anything esle, a lot of easy goals are getting by them.

About the flames net minding, if roman turek does as well as he did last year before he signed that long term contract then we are set. He wooped ass until about november then his play remained sketchy the rest of the year. The flames have a great young core of defensemen and losing morris wasnt that bad. Drury and Iginla will hopefully be put on the same line so they can rip it up.

Calgary has hardly played Turek this preseason though. With him in there we should be fine. Our D loses with morris being traded, but hopefully we can get some goals and that won't matter too much. Last year we just didn't score enough. If we can do that we might make it to the playoffs.

Nice to see some hockey fans !! The Drury trade put my jaw on the floor . I realy didn't see that one coming . He should be good for the Flames , he has been for the Avs . It is nice to see him go somewhere else since I like Detroit . We don'tget to see many Flames game here in the U.S. but that should change .
