now I'm not to sure on this, but shotguns in WW2 were mainly only used in Pacific theater when the Japs came up with the Bonzai charge. In MOHAA they use it like it's always been there, but I'm very definite that they only got used in Pacific theater, some of them were standard issue to the units that encountered enemy close range. Please bring some input on this
The NRA magazine had an article not too long ago about shotguns in WWII. I thought it showed pictures of guys in the Pacific and in Europe but I'm not sure. I'll try to find the article.
