Nice day for a slashing :( -
12-31-2002, 11:14 AM
Was down at the chip shop earlier on with the dog en tow. There were 2 people before me in the queue so i just tie my dog up outside and wait at the back of the shop. The guy first in line struck me as being weird, never stopped pacing about the place and was muttering to him self for some reason or other.
After about 5 minutes of waiting he's seemingly getting agitated, starts muttering "fucking hurry up" and "shut the fuck up" when he hears the staff in the back talking. A few minutes later one of the staff comes out with his order and he basically starts screaming that he was supposed to be out of there half an hour ago (even thoughi found out he was only waiting about 10 minutes). The staff member apoligises and im at the back of the shop thinking how much of a nut job this guy is. He spins round and glares at myself and the customer who's before me in the queue, starts shouting "are you fucking laughing at me", myself and the other customer look at each other and i say no-one said anything mate.
Its at this point he grabs his order and throws it at us before producing a knife outta his pocket. My dog sees this and she's going fucking ape shit outside to try and get in at the guy, he turns his attention towards her knife in hand and makes a beeline for her.
Its at this point i realise wtf is about to happen and grab him from behind by the neck and end up pulling him off his feet onto the ground . He's on the ground knife in hand and i end up getting a slash from about 2 inches below my right eye down about 4 inches in length. Fucking psycho was swinging it everywhere, the other customer realises wtf is going on and he kciks the knife out of his hands. We had to keep him restrained on the ground till some of the staff could get out from behind the counter and deal with him (two big guys to say the least).
Got out from the hospital like half an hour ago with a few stitches where the cut is. Wasn't too deep but coulda been worse. =/

I was pretty stupid for tackling him but theres no way i was gonna let my dog get knifed. Thats the first time ive brought her down there on a leash, if she hadn't been tied up the guy woulda had his throat bitten off him.

Fomr what ive been told the guy is supposodly mentally handicapped in some way. Theres some oOo: uk law that basically states you CANNOT hit them back even if they attack you like this. Didn't stop me bouncing his head off the ground when i pulled him down though.
Im just gonna leave it at that, no point pursuing legal action that will take years to go through.
