I got it 2/12/03, playing the chinese single players mission, 1024 * 768 medium quality, and I must say this is THE BEST RTS I've played since Starcraft, the gameplay is good, hardly any glitches, but my only concern it the multiplayer game because it lags like crazy even with my DSL connection, thas my only complaint... anybody got the game yet??? I highly recommend it happy:

My friend got it when it came out. I have to say the game lags like shit. He has a 2.0ghz p4, 512mg ddr ram, and a intel extreme graphics controller and lags pathetically on the lowest setting. I've seen him play new games on his system and he plays lag free on the highest detail. I know his video card isn't the greatest but he should atleast play at an acceptable frame rate on the lowest detail. Oh and on my system it just crashes and I do meet the requirements. mad:

Maybe there is a data leak? That sometimes causes huge lag. Wait for a patch maybe?

i got it 2 days ago *arrr matey* evil: ive only played a few quick skirmishes...havent really tested it out for real yet cuz of work and college. ill give you a good feedback response this weekend

To buy or not to buy is my major question. Played only the 1st C&C and C&C Red Alert at friends. Never really got into it. So is it the same or way better in terms of realisim aspects.

well lets see quick rundown on the forces

china, gla and usa

china:

tank pwns all, it's double turreted and you can build a gatling turret, bunker or umm...i forget on top. slow as hell but they get the job done, especially with gatling turret. infantry builds 2 at a time (red guard, your grunts) WMD is a nuclear missile. their air power is a mig that holds 2 fire missiles

gla is what i like to call al queda. they've got trucks with mgs, scuds with he or anthrax warheads, bomb trucks, tanks that can scavenge parts to upgrade their guns, tank shells with anthrax, anthrax upgrades, tractors that spray anthrax. scud storm is a cluster of long range scuds that launch a shitload of anthrax. yep they love anthrax.

us by far is my favorite. you use chinooks for picking up supplies but they can also hold infantry, 8 of them. rangers (your grunts) can load up and repel into the combat zone or into civilian buildings. biggest air force in the game, f-22 raptors which carry 4 "mavericks" i shall dub them, arora bomber which carrys 1 big bomb, f-117s which i haven't messed with yet and commanche gunships which carry 4 missiles with a chaingun and can be upgraded with rocket pods. fun fun.

It's a good game but it is not really a C&C game because the storyline is shit and their are no cutscenes

I preordered mine, so I have been waiting for the damn thing to show up on my doorstep. Can't wait to play. Kind of depressing that the Muilti lags, hopefully they will have this patched soon. This should be a great online game.
