Hey I was please wondering why a lot of clans say if you get caught using Custom skins or "NON-AUTHORIZED" Skins you will be banned, but if they don't have the same skins then it won't matter anyways because even if somebody has custom skins they won't be able to see them if they don't have the same skins. I guess it's so just in case they do or if other people have the same skins, nobody can cheat. It kinda sucks that nobody else can see your skins unless they have them too, but most likely they won't. I have heard some people "claiming" to and saying that they are able to use custom skins even though somebody else may not have that skin. That's not true right?? I know it's not, but I dunno if ther

The issue with this is there are alot of skins out that will give players unfair advantages, such as bright or neon skins, revealing the players location easier. So basically, if you are using these skins, they will boot you. They are just trying to keep from having unfair games, that's all.

I think the issue that you've missed here is force models, which is an option in the moh menus. This forces every model that you see to be the same as yours (The worst option in the game, bar none, so many other FPS games manage custom skins soooo much better than this). So, if you do use a high visibility skin then you can have every player wear it, so far as you can see.

In my honest opinion any clan so pedantic as to ban someone for a custom skin really needs some practice, because you can get a high visibility skin by simply using the stock Axis snow skins freely available (and lots of players do this).

Exactly how much it is supposed to help them play, I don't know. I don't force models and I can see the enemy whether they're wearing white, black, green or brown with no difficulty at all.
