For one reason or another, XP refuses to install on my computer, so i've been reduced to WinME cry:
anyways, i'm having trouble getting my sound up and running again. The sound card is just a generic PCI one, but ME won't recognise it.

does anyone know where i can get generic sound drivers, or something that will fix this problem (Note - i don't have a driver disk, either oOo: )

In any possibility, I highly recommend that you downgrade yourself to Win98, or Win2000. Both are superior OS's compared to WinME. I'm sure alot of people who have done this will agree. (I'm one of them! biggrin: ) |

Yeah, WinMe bites. Couldn't get my internet to work on out, and my SB programs wouldn't work on it. If you've got a VIA motherboard, try getting the latest 4in1 drivers. I think that's what they're called...I had to do so to get things working right on 98. |

I had this problem, when I formatted. I told my friend what motherboard I had, and he found me a site to download a chipset for my comp, now it works and my sound is better too biggrin: |
