Get the silenced pistol and shotgun in SP

You can have the high standard silenced pistol AND the shotgun in the singleplayer demo, both fully skinned.

The trick is to copy all the pak-files (and rename them to something like multipak0.pak and so forth) from the multiplayer demo /main folder to the sigleplayer /main folder.

Note: Maybe you dont need to copy all the pak-files, it may still work with just some of them. But I made it easy for my self and just copied them all..

Then use the cheat to get all weapons.

And Voila! You get the silenced pistol and
the shotgun, both fully skinned.

My thanks to Skidrowpunk for the original idea to get the silenced pistol.

I tried this but i cant start a game when the pak on in the main folder .. can u help me plz ...

Well, i have a new post up on this topic with the weapons because i noticed there was more weapons then the silenced pistol and shotgun available when you copy the pak-files. The sounds are messed up (or not working) but besides that its cool to have the new weapons in the game.

Now for your question. Copy all the pak-files from the multiplayer demo /main folder to an empty folder (or one of your choice) and rename them all to be like: multipak0.pak, multipak1.pak and so on.

Next, copy these renamed files to your singleplayer demo /main folder.

In the shortcut to the singleplayer game alter the settings to include these commands
after the link to your exe file:

+set ui_console 1 +set cheats 1 +set thereisnomonkey 1

Then run the game and load up the map. Bring down the console and type wuss to get all weapons.

Thats about it I think.

When I copied the PAK files the SP demo became the MP demo!!!

And how do you know which PAK files to copy?

See, all you need to copy is the high-standard pistol files and shot gun files, then copy whichever .cfg file or .scr file that changes the loadout to include those weapons.

Strange you cant get it to work guys.

But I´ll try to explain it again.

You need to have both the multiplayer demo and the singleplayer demo installed.

Ok, then copy ALL the pak-files from the multiplayer demo /main folder to a new folder. Rename the copied files to be something like: multipak0.pak, multipak1.pak and so on.

Note: Maybe you dont need to copy all the pak-files. It could work with just some of them, like the first and second file (pak0.pak, pak1.pak). But its no big deal to copy them all if you have some room on your harddrive to spare.

Next, copy these renamed pak-files to the /main folder in the singleplayer demo folder.

Important Note: you must keep the original pak-files in the singleplayer /main folder too, otherwise it won´t work. That is you have both the multiplayer and singleplayer pak-files in the singleplayer /main folder.
Thats why you have to rename the multiplayer pak-files before you move them to the sigleplayer /main folder. Otherwise you will replace the singleplayer pak-files with the multiplayer pak-files and the game will be a multiplayer game.

Then run the singleplayer demo with the following commands after the link to the exe-file in your shortcut:

+set ui_console 1 +set cheats 1 +set thereisnomonkey 1

Ones you have loaded up the singleplayer map bring down the console and type wuss to get all the weapons.

Thats all there is to it.

Now hopefully it will work.

sweet....why can't you just go ahead and make it a mod....instead of calling it multipak.pak??? just call it Omertamod.pk3 and send it in as a mod??? can you do this...
I would like to do this without haveing to do all that hassle....lol..damn I am laaaaazy...

Maybe I could do a mod but I don´t think I have the time right now. Have to much work to do. But maybe I´ll get time to do this and then I will try and have it included in the mod section.

If I do a mod I will see if I can get the weapon sounds right too. I dont think it would be to much trouble to get it to work.

Anyways, its not a big deal I think to copy the files from the multiplayer demo to the singleplayer demo. But a mod is nice ofcourse..

I´ve created a mod to get the hi-standard silenced pistol and the shotgun in the singleplayer demo now. The sounds are working to..
