Shotgun whores make me want to uninstall this game before i

That's all you hear now...SHOTGUN blasts...

That gun SUCKS. It has good range and can hit a close subject nearly 360 degrees around the person firing it.

The free-for-all levels just SUCK...they might as well only have one gun in these games.

Please tell me in the final MP it limits # of shotgunners, snipers (without a limit the german non scoped rifle is pointless), GRENADES (6 is way too many)

Ok, crying over...but i'm sure i'm not the only one with this opinion.

play the objective based map, if you don't like the ffa level. trick with the shotguns is to NOT get close to them. you see a dude with a shotgun, pull back and shoot him. That's what I used to before the Hunt map was released.

I was beginning to feel the same way until I learned how to take care of shotgunners. Now I am alright with them because I usually come out on top. I normally use the SMG anyway, but it is a good weapon to take out a shotty with. Keep the smg aimed high around chest/head level and keep moving. When you do encounter shotty's there are several ways to go about it, Hopefully you will encounter them at a distance. If so just shoot at their head and you should get him, and be sure to keep backing away from him, keeping as much distance as possible...DON'T let him get close enough to kill you...you deserve to die if you do so.

Circle fighting...this will happen alot with any weapon. Try not to do it in a small area against a shotty...try to keep moving and change direction alot. Keep aimed in front of him and aimed high so you will hit him.

Try not to rush around corners. Take a wide berth at doorways and corners. If you meet him around a corner face to face, your dead.

Just a few tips that have helped me. I have had guys switch away from shottys because they kept getting killed. Hope that helps.

People who complain about people using certain guns are annoying.

This guy Aviss complained that I was a shottie whore and i Have no skill, so I switched over to the 98k unscoped, and still whooped his ass, what did he have to say then? Lag...cheater....it never stops...

There are plenty of manuevers to outgun someone with a shotgun, so please don't whine about it, Krautkiller is right, just circle strafe with an smg and you can kill em easy. Shotguns have horrible range compared to the other guns in the game, and its poor reload rate adds to its detriments. I don't mind shotguns and I use them myself from time to time, but only when I want to get real up close and personal (such as the 4level bldg. in Stalingrad) Every gun in the game has another that can counter it, just experiment with smgs and rifles.

Someone who is a good player and uses the shotgun will kill lots. Someone who is a crap player and uses the shotgun will kill a few.

It's that simple.

The shotgun gives no one a God-given right to get easy kills, unless you allow them to.

I don't bother using the shotgun now, anymore, 'cos I got bored of being told I was lame for using it when I'd rack up 25+ kills a game (objective).

So I switched to the SMG and still got 25+ kills a game.

It doesn't matter if you're actually a very good player, if you use the shotgun you get branded lame.

What crap.

You still have to aim the bloody thing, and it limits you to close combat fighting. If an enemy is mid-distance from you, it's virtually impossible to kill them easilly unless they are crap and don't move.

Try watching someone who truly is a bad player use the shotgun and you'll see what I mean.

Nicely put ydiss, and absolutely right. I perform just as well with an smg or rifle as I do with the shotgun. It all depends on the skill level of your peers playing with you. The shotgun's only advantage is quick kills REAL close in. You can't even kill someone from an opp. balcony with the sg unless they really just sit there and take it.

Hey Kurgan could it be you that I wooped in a FFA in Staligrad with my shotgun??? I was like 70 and 12 after I started using the shotgun, no one was able to get away from the power of the shotgun. I love IT MUWHAHAHAHAHAH! And if you can't kill someone with a shotgun with a bullet firing weapon then just take out a rocketlauncher, at least you know if you fire he close range hes dead even if it means ur dead too. L8r.

Learn to adapt to the weapon. I would hope you'ld adjust your attack method depending on the weapon your up against.

Shotgun.

I love that gun. It gives you the advantage of taking out a guy quickly from close range but it gives you the disadvantage of close range.

Shotgun whore? What's that? Someone who uses shotgun to sell himself/herself? Come on people! It's only a game! I've used all the weapons and currently my fav's are the sniper rifles and the shotgun. I use the SMGs and the Machine guns too.

Killing a guy with shotgun? Easy. Don't let him get too close and friendly. Watch your back. Stop sniping. Shoot him in the head/chest/stomatch/groins/arms/legs. Bet he'll drop from the first or the second round.
