Default Patching SH Ourselves. - 03-28-2003, 03:57 PM

I have been playing SH for awhile now and got to thinking about some of the things that needed patching that everyone complains about. And I can understand why you are complaining, as these things can be quite annoying. So I was thinking. Why not patch these things ourselves. Things like the butt-scoot, the Kar98Grenade's grenade sound looping, and the problem with things disappearing when they shouldn't. I know there must be some way of fixing these without an "SDK", so I am going to try working on some things and see what I can come up with. Don't know how you all feel about it, but I highly doubt that EA can ever fix all the problems with SH. Even after 2 patches, we still can't get what we want.

Thanks for your time.

Well as ive already said the butt scoot is caused by a "pain" animation eala put into spearhead. I doubt anyone can fix this unless theyre good at editing animation files.

And in my opinion its a fucking joke that spearhead has come to this, 2 fucking patches (one was near 50 meg and did diddily shit as far as i can see) and they havn't even fixed the main bug which was THEIR fault in the first place. Idiots. mad:

It would be great if we can figure out how to patch SH ourselves. Heck if we come up with a patch...maybe EA will take notice! biggrin:

Well, to fix the buttscoot, you wouldn't need to edit the already existing pain animation files. Just replace them if you catch my drift. biggrin:

Ok, I can confirm that SH has no new pain animation files. I mean, zero. I have looked at every file I could think of that would cause this buttscoot, and there dosen't seem to be anything out of the ordinary that is doing this. No .skc .skd or tiki files that reference these pain animations. Fuckin' ridiculous.
