I find it hard to believe but if so, great! I'm cuirous, what kind of system do you have because mine hasn't exhibted any signs of choppiness. Maybe your video card or RAM is lacking a little? Just curious, not a slam.
I've got a:

1.4G P4 system with 256M of 800Mhz RAMBUS and an ATI RADEON 64 video card

and it's *really* smooth. If the officially released game gets any smoother, it'll damn near be real, lol. :-)

It will hardly be any better.
People are talking about compressed textures, but they do not increase performance, they rather decrease it.
