I am coming from a console and have been given advice from "Ye Lunatic" to use the Keyboard/Mouse.

Does anyone use a gamepad for computer games and specifically MOH?

Back in the day I played only with a gamepad, because I was used to the whole 'Sega' feel.

I switched to the keyboard/mouse a couple of years ago and it really is the best way to play i've found.

Takes some getting used to, but then it's natural as sin.

What controls the movement (W,A,S,D) on a normal keyboard?? THe n50 keys or the n50 directional movement??

The thing that really frustrates me is the combo fo the keys and the mouse to move and rotate.

my n50 setup is like this

i have 2 toggles, top left button and bottom right. so i sacrifice those 2 keys to gain 16 more keys on the pad(plus the d-pad is 8 way so 8 x 3 = 24 more)
unswitched mode i have hmm wish i had some visual aid but work with me (picutre the keys)

*qwer *= mode shit blue
*asd** *= left shift **= mode shift green

those are the non mode switched keys on the pad. i have jump, score board, walk, and drop weapon bound to the d-pad.

i havent fully setup the other modes yet as the full game isnt out and im not actively in a clan competing(voice commands and such).

the software with the n50 is very flexible. i like it alot.

main reason i got it was for comfort. carpal tunnel was kickin me in the ass. my wrist doesnt hurt at all using the n50.

May I make a suggestion? I am fairly new to PC games also, and NOLF was the very first FPS I ever played for PC. The default is very good, and it's what I use w/ a few tweaks:

WASD- Move
Mouse- Look
Left Shift- Switch weapon
Left CTRL- switch weapon function/ammo
Mouse Wheel- Zoom In/Out weapon
Left Mouse- Fire
Right Mouse- Pick up/activate objects
Left Caps Lock- Toggle Run/Walk
Spacebar- Jump
O- Objectives
Z- Holster Weapon

It took me a while to get used to the keyboard/mouse (and a little while to figure out the mouse was LOOK) and it is the best. Console is good (as long as you have a 64 controller, and possibly a GC controller) for FPS, but PC goes control all the way.
