I've never really listened to Metallica...but I keep hearing people hate this new album...a while back I also saw something about using a song for torture? I've also seen a pic of a furby wearing headphones smoking a cigarette, or cigar, and it says save this furby before it's too late, he's listening to Metallica's new St. Anger cd.
freak:

So, why is it bad?

Im not a metalica fan so I dont really care for them. But if I did have to say something about St. Anger, its probably the worst song I have heard from them. |

I rocked the "St. Anger" CD on my way to work this morning...again. Still loving it.
Got some weird looks at stop lights, lemme tell ya. I was tapping along with the double bass hits from "St. Anger" on my steering wheel and some old dude in A Volvo rolled up his window...haw!

The only true disappointment I see in them so far, is that they are making a Metallica video game. That's just a little too much. I mean, look at how well KISS: Psycho Circus did! heh
Anyways, the new CD is pretty good, and yes, there are no good guitar solos, but METALLICA never said it would be like their old stuff, the critics did. Lars said that this was something totally different for the band, and they've never approached heavey metal like this before.

I saw them at DFP7 (Summer Sanatarium) and they were great. Sorry to hear you don't like them anymore, man.

Yup!
I think my fave is "Sweet Amber", but "Shoot Me Again" is growing on me big time. The end of that song is friggin' heavy.

| That's me on the way home from work everyday in my 91 Ford Escort GT, heh I got the Nomad Jukebox, 6GB storage, with like 690 songs, and I think about 40 are Metallica. I just blast And Justic For All, Blackened, Am I Evil, Battery, Shortest Straw, Die Die Die My Darling, Enter Sandman; you name it man heh.

I swear, one day a guy in a cab gave me the Devil's Horns, and he got em right back! |

I dunno, I'm still not impressed with this album yet. I have listened to it serveral times and its still not doing it for me. Oh well. I am still debating if I wanna go to the Summer Sanatarium Tour, its gonna be here in Houston in a couple of weeks. |
