I am really getting tired of people complaining about their "low fps." Try the damn auto-configure feature. It is in: start menu > programs > ea games > medal of honor allied assault > auto configure. If that doesn't give you good fps, then I don't know what to say.

If you are complaining because you are going down to 20 fps in 1600x1200 (or 1240x1024)full detail, then you are a pissy little whiner. No one needs that amount of detail to play any game.

My 800x600 res., 32 bit color, medium texture detail, everything else set to either max or high, setting runs really well and looks great (AMD Thunderbird 1.33 Ghz, 256 PC133 RAM, GeForce 2 GTS, 512 MB virtual memory on a 10 Gig HD that is defragemented every few days). And yes, that is what I got from the auto-configure program. With it, Omaha beach always works perfectly (hell, it worked perfectly with 1024x768 16 bit high everything/max everything, minimum effects detail).

I put together my system, and, in my opinion, if those of you who are complaining bought your systems already put together by those big computer companies (IBM, Gateway, Dell, etc.), you pretty much deserve what you get. Yeah, my configuration isn't all that great, but I put it together this way because of numerous reasons.

I don't expect good responses to this post, so have fun.

LOL - you'll get a thumbs up for me mate (just not in your arse in case youre into that). Whining does get a tad old after awhile, although we all feel an urge to do it sometime. However, complaining that a game doesnt run too hot in a high-resolution, high-textured setting - is pretty foolish to me. I imagine these are the folks saying that in the heat of battle - a 16-bit difference in color depth is going to even register in their head...

quote:
OY - the blood spillin outta my body doesnt have the right crimson tint - DAMN THIS GAME AND ITS SLOW FPS!!!!

I for one have NO PROBLEM with a person voicing a well constructed concern regarding a legitimate issue (a mighty task for some of our pre-pubes here I'm sure), however whining will always get the "Whatever"-eyeroll from me, as well as a "TALK TO THE HAND".

I am running the game in 1280x1024x32bit with all the hishest settings I could set, it runs smooth, even on the Omaha beach

EPoX EP-8KHA+ @142MHz, AthlonXP 1900+ @1.7GHz, Leadtek GeForce3 Ti500, Adaptec 29160, 73GB SCSI 10000rpm HDD, SB Audigy

(I am such a show off )

LOL! I have to agree with you ferraro. It's funny because so many complaints, enoung already. My computer is simply a P3 650, 256 MB Ram, and 32 MB ATI Rage Fury Pro card, and it runs perfect with most setting on medium and 32-bit, which is fine until I upgrade. Actually, the game looks really smooth. The thing is, if it runs then it sucks for some other reason. I really like the game myself. It's much more fun than others I've played.

yeah, what i hate even more than the 'techy whiners' are the 'laggg losers'. These losers join a game and then scream at the admin the very second they experience a moments lag......seriously, has the online shooter community fallen so low as to be a bunch of spoiled brats who do nothin but complain when somebody has offered their server for everybody to log into for free. These punks drive me nuts......
heres an example:
sissy-boy: ooooohhhh, im getting some lag!!!!
little johny: i hate this server!! MOM!!!!
woosey-wanna-be: make the lag stop!!! wahhhhh
im gonna cry: you F#@#en rotten admin! im not getting under 50 ping! you suck!!!!

plus, they have no commraderie at all. the moment some guy logs in with a ping around 280 or so, everybody screams "kick the lagger!!!!!". This is seriously messed up. Used to be, playing quake II or the original Half-life team fortress that everybody played with lag, and nobody screamed and whined about the littlest inconvenience.

I have to say that I definately have no time for whiners!!!!!... I have had no problems with my computer.. and its a HP466 with 256 megs RAM with a measly 16 meg video card...

Sure I don't have my game set to the highest of all levels... but c'mon people...

If it works great on my computer, and I mean I haven't seen a single problem with fps... what that heck is wrong when a guy with a 1.4 is having so many problems??....

But once again, that is just my opinion....
