I've seen all the movies a dozen times or more, own "...The Holy Grail" and "The Life of Brian", and have seen most of the TV series.

Classics.

I've only seen the Holy Grail, and only about 4 parts in the whole damn movie are funny. It's a waste of time

Monty Python is pure comic genius although its more sophisticated and ultra sarcastic than say hmmm........all american comedies.

I recommend if possible to watch: 'FATHER TED'

Probably the closest anyones come to the python stuff and you cannot help but laugh your tits off at it.
Basically its about 3 priests and a housekeeper who live in a big house on a remote irish island called 'Craggy island', in the middle of nowhere.
Ted, the main mostly sensible one always trys to keep Dougal (the stupid one) and Jack (the old dirty alcoholic one) under control.
Its the muts nuts. rock:

RIP Dermott Morgan. Father Ted is one of the all-time classics.

Father Dougal : Ted, do you believe in an afterlife?
Father Ted : Well, generally Dougal, men in our profession have a fairly strong feeling about the afterlife.
FD : Ah Ted, I wish i had your faith.
FT : How exactly did you enter the priesthood, Dougal? Was it "Collect 12 Crisp Packets and become a Priest"?
