Server using old version...WHY?

I can't tell ya how many times I see full servers running version 1.0 why would you still run this version? Is it to allow cheating? I am curious.

Psst, mates. Get the All-seeing Eye game browser, you can filter out the 1.0 servers till those "turds" decide to upgrade

it pisses me off too. They must not look for updates or something or they are just all cheating fags. Or maybe they hate the patch and too stupid to know that everyone else will get the patch and wont be able to play at thier server.

Sotilas I do use ASE, I didn't know I could filter the 1.0's out though. Going to set it up now, thanks for the tip

The main reson to this is that there is ONLY a US versio of this patch out there.
And the EURO patch is stil taking some time to get out there beqasue of some problems with it. But soon and i mea werry soon this one will be out there to.

Hmmmm ... calling people "cheating fags" is a window into the intellect of the person saying it, eh?

Anyway, there are probably a lot of reasons why 1.0 servers are still out there.

- Some may not have bandwidth enough to make a 15-meg download feasible, or they may have an unstable ISP. Unlikely if they're hosting a server, yes ...

- They may not be aware the patch is out there

- They may be hosting the server so their real life friends can play, and won't patch because their friends haven't patched.

- And for the U.S.-centric of you, remember that the patch was U.S.-release only. The rest of the world doesn't have it!

Shoegaze, yes I realise the rest of the world can't use the patch, but you do realise the rest of the world doesn't have the game either? Unless of course it is pirated.
