I have installed the new Det drivers, they work fine with a little increase in performance, but how do ya get rid of the Nividia nView desktop Manager shit that appears on your desktop after you install them, very annoying???
Has anyone else had this problem??
When you right click on it, there is no option do delete - confused.
Well, I don't have those installed, but just guessing, right click on your desktop, click properties, then settings, then click the advanced button at the bottom, there should be a tab there for your video card. Try finding something in there like a checkbox for nView in your systray or something like that.. If not, I dunno. Just a shot in the dark.

in all the versions i have had of nvidia's "detonator drivers" including the 27.20 ones i'm using now, there is an option to display logo when running 3d applications. The default is off though but this is how you get to it:
right click desktop, go to settings, click on advanced, click on the tab that says your video card (for me RIVA TNT2), then click on additional properties - then check if the checkbox for "display logo" is on or off.
When you extracted the files, did you execute the nview application? I did and noticed the nview shit as well - I simply restored my computer (I always create a restore point before installing new drivers). Once restored, I updated my drivers, but didn't execute the nview file and nview was gone.

No this is different, after installing the drivers its put a "displays and manages your vitual desktop" shit on the desktop not the taskbar, stuff.
I am very suprised no-one else has had this problem.
