Precedence is set, its only a matter of time before gays/lesbians are eligible to be married by law. beer:

Look at the bright side, for every man that marries another man, it means one more woman for me. For every woman that marries a woman, it means one less woman who is more of a man than me (that I didn't want anyway)for me.

Yeah there was big debate up here about it around 6 months ago or so. The courts upheld the right for marriage with gays and lesbians in ontario I believe. I don't know if its legal in the entire country, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was very soon if it isn't already. |

Yep, it's legal here in Ontario. I'm not sure what the big hooplah is all about. So, you wanna marry another dude or another chick...what bearing will that have on me? None. Fill yer boots. |

At the present time, each state sets their own laws regarding gay marriages. Most states have banned them, and it's not likely they'll get changed...at least not here in Texas. |

I highly doubt they will legalize same sex marriages, seeing how just yesterday iowa became the 38th state in the union to ban same sex marriages in their state, the only states that legalized it are the fucking liberal new england states that are so out of touch with every day americans...you liberal elitist can take your faggets else where because the fact remains that the majority of americans are against gay marriges. |

Thats true too, I guess the supreme court wont touch this for a good while, and until then, each state will take its own stance. Eventually, though, i think it will be accepted across the nation. If not, thats when the rainbow armys 31rst creampuff division invades texas and surrounds you in the alamo. |

it will never be accepted, because its not morale and will ruin families, i can garauntee if bush is reelected he will propose legislation to add a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriages. |

Families is a different issue all together. If a gay couple wants to adopt a chid, that is a sticky situation. The situation here is if 2 men or 2 women can be married, and frankley it doens't effect anyone either way, so what dose it matter? |
