Full Install.
It avoids any possible conflicts with the previous windows version on your HD, and it makes reformating your HD alot easier!

Not very nice Freakaloin.

We all have questions,if you're that smart you should be working for 2015,in the next MOHAA 2.
But thanks anyway for replying.

I would not upgrade just for MOH. If you have other reasons to upgrade then go for it.
Like they say if it ait broke don't fix it.

Good luck, XP is a very good OS and I would recommend it to anyone. If you can ghost your drive ( make an image )do it. Just in case you have to go back.

Also Don't upgrade, do a full install.
And be careful people had problems with the drivers for your SoundBlaster under XP when it first came out. Check Creatives site for drivers

Good Luck

Unless your PC is suffering from major stability problems, it won't hurt to stick with Windows 98.

If you're going to go to XP, make sure all of your hardware is supported, the applications that you want to run are supported and do a clean install.

Kakorott;

You can do a clean install with the Upgrade CD. It will ask you to put in your Windows 98/ME/or 2000 CD during the install to for verification.

Backup everything you really need, format your computer and do a fresh start, you'll notice that your computer will run faster then ever.

By getting winXP you can also convert your drive to NTFS which is much better then FAT 32, so by all means go for it!

I'm using XP as we speak, works fine. I had trouble with XP at first (not with MOHAA, just in general), but I did a fresh install, and everythings working fine now! : )

full install is when u format C: and then install the OS of your choosing
upgrade is installing your new OS over the old one.

there is no problems with installing XP over the top.
i have dont both and have to say i prefer the upgrade.
