Having problems.........

Ok when i try to play everything goes fine till theres that greenish screen b4 the cinemas start it just locks up then i gotta reset my pc. so i try again after i reset so then i try it in safe mode and it sometimes plays but with no sound or it freezes. when i can get into the game to play i get illegal operations and stuff. i downloaded patch 1.10 and i still get that problem. my pc is way over minimum req heres wut it has:
1.1 ghz amd athlon
32 mb riva tnt/tnt2 agp
412 mb ddram
msn dsl
52x cd rom drive
on board sound

i think its the sound cuz when i can look at the opengl log thing when it gets to emulating direct sound it freezes then. also when i get to play i try to change the volume and sound quality it freezes again..... im getttin really mad! if some1 could PLZ help me i would be very grateful

Try upgrading ur drivers, d00d. Espically ur Video & Sound cards. It dosen't sound like that might be the problem tho. Hmm. . .maybe update BIOS too? Dunno, but def. update those 2 drivers, Uninstall, Reinstall, then make sure u run AUTO-CONFIGURE before launching. Try that, man.

i downloaded the latest detonator last week and the sound i got a cd for which ill try once i get it back from my friend and what is the auto configure? thnx for the info

Skip all that cinema opening credits stuff.

Right click-> Properties-> and in the command line put:

+ set cl_playintro 0

:a couple (2) spaces after (AFTER, do not replace the current target) the current target. Should look something like this:

"C:Program FilesEA GAMESMOHAAMOHAA.exe" + set cl_playintro 0

Edit: That is, Right click the shortcut icon that was put on your desktop.

alright! yay! it works fine now! but the only problem i get is when i try to change video settings and use cheats but anyway.. i can play! i dont care bout that. i did autoconfigure then i used the idea to skip intro and some other stuff and now i can play!!!! thanks guys!
