What do you think the MP games would be like if we disabled the avatars? Interesting to say the least!

More MP maps please

Signs above the heads that denote the team.

well i sometimes have noticed players using skins from the other side - ie - an axis player who looks like allied troop, so i think it is a bad idea.

Avatars, AKA thr symbols above your teammates head, so you can tell who is who. And no, it wouldn't be fun nor intresting if they didn't have them. It would be dumb. It would be like games back *GASP* in the glory days! like JK and R6!

FAG= Female Ass Grabber

Even I can be Childish!

R6 was great. People cry for realism, so why not get rid of this 'magic' halo over people. Make people think before pulling the trigger.

FF could have some sort of penalty. Hit a mate, lose 1/4 your own health. Or something like that.
(I'm aware that this wouldn't be realistic!)

So how exactly does a spie walk? Step skip step?

Spiewalk, cut it out.

He means the signs above ther head that denote the team you're on. Or didn't you read that already? They are called avatars... learn something every day, don't we?

It'd be a little more realistic if they weren't there, but wouldn't make much difference except on FF servers.

As for ppl using custom skins that look like the opposing team, they'd only make a difference if everyone else had them downloaded.

The avatars are very much an EA thing. It reminds me of FIFA and the little sign that hangs above the head showing you who you have control of.

It'd be a nice thing if the server admin could switch avatars off or on. I think it'd be a little more atmospheric and tense if you didn't have them.

I beleive it would be mayhem on FF servers. It would give team killers a good excuse: "oh, with no avatars, I can't tell who's on my team... blah blah."

I know that there are differences between the models. Unless it's obvious, I wouldn't be able to tell at the present time. I always go by avatar. I think I wouldn't have a chance with out em', not fast enough on the trigger...

Ydiss, you can change it so you only see the default models. Actually, only two models, the model you're using for Allies and the one you're using for Axis. I think it's an option like "Force Player Models" or something like that...

"avatars belong in forums, not games, bitch..." - Spiewalk

<rant>If you spent more time reading and less time on your Sig picture, you might have known what I was talking about How could you possibly have over 300 posts and not know what I'm talking about? Have you even looked in the Download section of this site? Sheesh!</rant>

I would love to try a FF server with the avatars off. Yes you would have to make sure that "force model" feature is turned on.

By the way, I have also heard of some people using NEON yellow textures for the enemy, so they are easy to see. Why oh Why must they ruin every game?
