So i'd love to be playing multiplayer, but when i find a server under 300 ping that actually works, i can seldom get on it. And why are the pings so high? Is there a better place than gamespy? I love the game, but it's getting old quickly without decent multiplayer ability for me. Help!

Download the eye it owns. You can choose to join a full server and the eye will constantly request information from the server until a free space is avaliable at which point it will join it. It also does a connection test which seems to improve things as you know which servers are stable.

Is the in-game server always hosted by gamespy?
