I'll tell ya.....if you promise to send me a beta version of your software to test. I'd like to check it out...maybe make a suggestion or two.

The file you're looking for is in pak0.pk3 at:

Very nice.

This should make modding the weapons a breeze

Maybe it might be in the weapons subfolder, and not the projectiles?

Please send it my way too

Now don't you all go flaming me for this but my days of playing online games tells me that anything running in the background during a game could be considered cheating. Any insight on this? What's to stop the program from giving the person running it a certain advantage, perhaps the effects from the program would only be implemented on the clients and not the server?

Once again guys don't come in here flaming your heads off, just give an opinion and leave it at that.

I just tried to post a long-ass answer but I got an internal server error and lost it all.

Oh well. In a nutshell, they have two filegroups. One you can modify, like he's going to be doing, and one you can't, which they use for multiplayer.

Re: cheating

From the looks of the interface he posted, I don't think the utility is meant to be real time and run in the background. It looks like it will just build the tiki file for you so you don't have to mess around with the pak files.

Anyway, you can already cheat if you're the server. I'm not going to tell you how, but I've seen folks doing it a few times already. Kinda sucks, but hey, it's their machine. It's not like we're renting their CPU cycles...

Maybe I should publish the server names when I see it (but then they'd just deny it....)

I've created a new Utility that allows
you to change the more important aspects
of the weapons.

I'm struggling to find the Damage for
the Handgrenades though... anyone KNOW
where to change it. i know it should be
in 'weaponsprojectiles*.tik'
Anyone know ? please help...
as this is the only thing i still need.
Thanx in advance...
Burning
